Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites San Antonio Alamo Plaza/Convention Center

This hotel was very nice. Very modern, comfortable. The parking is kind of expense but considering the location of hotel is it ok. ||The breakfast was good. A big selection of food to choose from.

I'm only sharing this as a PSA. The hotel and its staff were great, but I'm genuinely concerned about the electrical wiring in this building. I brought my hair straighteners that I've had for two years. I use them on the middle setting. I plugged them into the bathroom outlet and began using them. No issue for the first couple of minutes, but then I noticed they felt a little hotter than usual. I turned them down to the lowest setting and continued. That's when they suddenly got so hot they began emitting smoke. I quickly unplugged them and ran to show a family member. The long strip of hair/portion of my bangs that I'd been working on at the time was completely burnt and crumbling from my head (I'm someone who doesn't dye, blowdry, used straighteners minimally, and doesn't use harsh prod

Positive: Location, Location, Location. Breakfast was very good. The staff's customer service was second to none. Negative: Hot tub was not very hot. Pool was a little dirty. A lot of bird feathers.

This place STINKS! Foul Oder in lobby, elevator and rooms. Expensive valet. Breakfast was not the best. Room was not the best. Bed was acceptable comfortable. Smelled like cigarettes. Don’t recommend.

Room was really small , but clean and up.to date. The staff here...everyone was wonderful!!! Kind , and hospitable. Breakfast was hot , coffee was even pretty.decent!! We will be back!!
