Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Raleigh Crabtree Valley

Checked in Saturday on 2/21. Front desk was very nice! When we got to our room, the hot water wasn’t working and then at 3 am, the smoke detector kept beeping. Front desk handled everything nicely, they got someone to assist us with the smoke detector and they did informed us about the water pump getting worked on as well. The manager, Hakeem sent me an email yesterday but I didn’t get a chance to check my email so I called this morning. Hakeem assisted me and was very nice about everything. He told me he was going to keep me on the phone to resolve everything. And I greatly appreciated it! Overall the room was clean and the staff members were nice. I still give them a 5 star because of how they handled everything! Thank you again, Hakeem and staff!

Solid stay. I think the rooms have been renovated. Everything was clean and bathrooms looked new. ||The hotel is on a street with several other hotels and not much else. However, I was told that you can walk to Crabtree Mall in about 10 min. ||The breakfast was well stocked and seemed like there would be options for those with food allergies! There was a sign saying you could talk to workers about food allergens. Some pastries were served wrapped. And my FAVE was all the choices with the pot of oatmeal: seeds, nuts, dried fruit, and coconut! I could have a healthy breakfast and avoided the pastries!||I even noticed that they offered Greek yogurt in cups along with the nonfat yogurt. Someone with a nutrition background is working there. I’ve never seen that before.

Positive: The location was convenient and check-in was quick and easy. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable enough for a short business stay. I also appreciated the access to nearby food and shopping. Negative: The power outage during my stay was a major inconvenience, especially with no immediate communication or solution offered. It disrupted my comfort and sense of safety. I expected more support from the staff during that time.

Wonderful staff, conveniently located, clean rooms and common areas, breakfast was okay for the price. The only note I have is to put more lighting in the rooms. There were only small lamps not enough to light up the room properly. I think if you all just put in some floor lamps it would help a lot. Otherwise good stay and I would stay for a business trip.

It's a nice hotel and the front desk personnel are wonderful. The rooms are nice, but if you want to use a microwave, there's none in your room. You have to walk however far away you are from the ice machine and microwave station (I was far). There is only one microwave/floor. I think there's two in the kitchen area. I couldn't believe that a hotel had designed it's rooms with no place to hold a microwave!!! They don't tell you that when you check in. There was also an envelope left for me at the hotel. I wasn't aware of that and they didn't give it to me when I checked in. That caused me an extra trip back to the hotel after I had arrived at the state fairgrounds for work.
