Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Portland Maine Airport

DO NOT STAY HERE! As a Marriott Gold member who has stayed at several Fairfield properties across the country, I can confidently say this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, especially for a property carrying the Marriott name. The customer service was poor, the rooms were not clean, and the overall atmosphere did not feel safe or welcoming. The bathroom conditions were especially unacceptable. There were live bugs in the shower, along with dead bugs and bug residue smeared on the walls and shower curtain. The toilet seat was stained and had burn marks, and there was hair stuck to the bathroom walls. To make matters worse, the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers were completely empty. Housekeeping never replenished them despite being notified. We ultimately had to go

A bit tricky to get to off of 295. Lobby and rooms in need if updates. Front desk is very small. I didn't feel like I was in a Marriott, more like a Motel 6. But, was in need of a pet friendly establishment and this hotel is.

Recently stayed at this hotel and it was great. The rooms are small but work for what is needed(a good night's sleep), breakfast was great with many options, staff was very accomadating and helpful. Pressure wasn't amazing in the shower but again works. To all the negative reviews prior you have super high standards for a 2 star hotel! I would definelty return if I needed a place to stay in this area again.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating allowing us for an early check in for us to get ready for a wedding. Room was extremely small, and a bit out dated but comfortable. Pretty clean, shower has some mildew going on in it… but overall not the worst hotel I stayed in. 200’+ a night though was steep considering the accommodation. Very loud being directly next to I95 as well.

Positive: The price and the free breakfast Negative: It's not located near anything - restaurants, etc. And I believe on the website it stated there was a free airport shuttle. There is not a free shuttle.
