Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Northfield

The staff at the Northfield Fairfield are exceptional. Robys, Arlette, and Bri are fantastic in their running and staffing of the bar/restaurant, and always take good care of me with their service-centric attitude and attention to detail. I've been in the hospitality business for several decades, and the staff here provide a type of service that isn't possible without care being part of the staff's character, not just their job description.

This place was so perfect for my trip. And such a great layout - from the main floor to the room. I loved the view of the river. I also had a chance to use the gym which was well equipped for a traveling gym - and treadmills where the belts didn’t slip. The parking garage underneath - what an incredible design, especially for snowy weather.

Positive: very clean and located at a convenient place Negative: expensive of course!

The hotel is very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is very ample with many choices to suit most people's needs. My husband enjoyed the pool. The only drawback to our stay was how much space is allocated to the onsite bar. It takes up it's own space PLUS all of the breakfast area, but does not allow breakfast overflow to be seated in its area. The bar was very quiet during our stay-only one group of four people were using it. My husband & I sat in the breakfast area for a quiet game of cards, but because we brought our own sodas down we were asked to leave. The breakfast area has comfortable seating and tables to play cards or games. It would be nice if the bar vendor could be more flexible with the seating as it wasn't even 9pm when we were pl

First time here and all is great. Near a lot of restaurants and coffee shops, clean and beautiful rooms, excellent service (Sam at the front desk was very helpful). I hear from my team the breakfast is bountiful.
