Contented Cottage B&B

Lovely, lovely! I had a wonderful bath in front of a fire, sipping wine and nibbling on homebaked shortbread (which was waiting for us). And the breakfast was divine! Homemade quiche and cinnamon roll It's also only a 5 minute walk to St. Olaf.

This is such a peaceful and charming place to stay. Tucked into the bluffs, it feels like a cozy little escape, yet it’s so close to everything in Northfield. As a fellow B&B owner, I can see the heart and care you’ve poured into this place. It’s clear from the reviews and your presence online that this isn’t just a business, it’s a passion, and it shows.

Wonderful description of this B & B.... very content and quiet. Ayla's room is my choice. Steve and Lisa will introduce you to their 3 little rescue dogs. Boo is just 3#.

Charming suite and location!! We were very comfortable and felt right at home in this newly remodeled cottage. There is plenty of sitting room between the suite, the parlour (with fireplace), and the screened porch. We spent most of our free time reading in the porch and watching the birds flit around in the surrounding woods and the bird feeders. Breakfasts and the little cookies each night are fabulous. The hosts are very accommodating and flexible as we had to keep adjusting our schedule. This will definitely be our "home base" when we visit Northfield in the future.

The breakfasts are incredible!! And that's half of what a B & B is! If that's important to you go there! They leave bars or cookies in the room and fresh water! Above and beyond! Nice treat. Lovely couple very lovely B & B ..beautiful surrounding! Downtown Northfield is charming and fun!
