Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Martinsburg

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this location, and I can confidently say the experience is exceptional. Manager Clarissa Gay and her staff go above and beyond with their hospitality—treating guests like true family. The cleanliness is outstanding—definitely an A+. I'm certain you'll enjoy your stay in this quiet, private location. Whenever I’m in the area, this is my comfort zone away from home. It's a basic hotel. Not awful. But if you do stay, don't steal the pillows. The wife and I stayed here earlier this year before moving to the area and found it within ourselves to take one of the pillows home. 👍 Needless to say, I'm fairly positive this place is cursed. The entire year since staying at this place has been pure hell. It is Martinsburg, after all, but besides all that.... this hotel is definitely cursed. Do NOT take the pillows. You will be cursed FOR LIFE.

Summary: I booked the hotel room with a clear cancellation available until 1159p day of, clearly in terms and conditions email details. Hotel manager was bull-headed and quite rude and refused to refund per the clear email terms and conditions. I had to contact ambassador service to get the refund. Other options in area are better. Details: Could not cancel in app, so called hotel. They assured it would be taken care of, but it wasn't. After a couple of weeks of not seeing a refund for the cancelable room, the hotel manager was contacted and refused to refund. Marriott stepped in and got me the refund per the terms and conditions. I would simply stay away from this property as this experience shows that the general manager does not follow the rules. I would not trust that this p

The hotel was clean but dated. The entrance lift to the room didn’t work, same for the main light in the bathroom. The light above the tub flickered like it was going out and the desk lamp bulb and plug in didn’t work on one side. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Carissa in particular was not only nice but very proficient at her job. The place itself wasn’t bad but Marriott itself needs to step their game up.
