Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Knoxville Clinton

Stayed for one night at this Fairfield hotel. The room we received was a suite and it is delightful to have that extra space. Not going to get a great view however this a stop off the highway place. Taco Bell, restaurant and convenience store all within a short walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is the most decorated place I have ever seen for this type of hotel. Made it a cool atmosphere. Breakfast was very good. First time having chili with eggs. Jennifer, breakfast staff, makes a homemade recipe and it is very good. Plenty of free parking available. Hotel is clean and well maintained.

I appreciated the grab bars in the bathroom but it was very difficult to maneuver into it because the door was on backwards and blocked the hallway. I liked the low bed. The mystery meat at breakfast was salt-laden. OJ was good. The lobby Christmas tree was beautiful! The TV Remote was very difficult to use and the channel selection was not to my liking. The chairs in our room were very uncomfortable. As someone who has stayed in many Fairfield Inns, I see some quality lessening. |The staff was kind and helpful and the room was clean. Not sure if we would stay there again. The bathroom door was the worst.

Positive: The room itself was clean. Negative: The hotel was not well maintained. The breakfast area was poorly stocked, and even the bathroom was poorly maintained. The breakfast options were very low, and things were empty before 8:30am.

Great location next to a gas station, Taco Bell, a restaurant, and a Walmart. Staff was super friendly. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and didn’t check the room for cleanliness. There were items left from the last guest in the closet, bathroom wasn’t very clean, and also had a few stink bugs. I’m sure if I called the front desk they would have moved me as they were very nice but I just didn’t have the time. Likely a one off based on other reviews so just check your room right away.

This was the best Fairfield I’ve stayed at. The desk staff was very nice and helpful. The lady doing breakfast was really sweet too. Apparently the head housekeeper and her staff decorate for all the holidays which made is really fun. Christmas stuff everywhere right now - even in the work out room!
