Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Fond du Lac

I wish I would have read all of the other reviews prior to staying here. The same general manager appears to have been here for at least the last 2-3 years and continues to treat guest extremely poorly. I don't now that I would have believed the reviews had I not experienced it for myself. ||In over 30 years of staying at Marriott properties around the world the experience I had with this General Manager was the worst I have ever experienced.||We arrived late as we were coming from a night game in Green Bay. I tried to message the hotel about our arrival, through the Bonvoy app but never received a response. This is very unusual as I normally here back fairly quickly. When we arrived we were not greeted as we normally are at a hotel, but I chalked that up to the later hour.||The next morni

The manager is rude. Why do they have someone with such a bad temper? I stayed there a few days ago, and she discriminated against me just for being obese. That woman is ill-mannered. I also noticed that she treats her employees, who are mostly Latina women, badly. She should have more respect. They treated me better when cleaning my room 220 than the manager herself.

If I could give negative stars I would. The manager is absolutely unprofessional and very rude when explaining things. My daughter is very sick and I don’t feel right bringing her into the building with strep. So there is an option for the hotel business to give you a refund if they deemed it necessary. She absolutely made it very clear that there wasn’t an option for that and I will not be getting a refund. Will never come to this hotel just because of her attitude !!!

They say there are no guarantees in life but one guarantee is that we will never stay at this hotel again, under the current management, that is. We stay in hotels across the US, every week - This particular Fairfield makes the 57th hotel to stay in this year, alone. And after 10 years of traveling, never have we experienced such unprofessional management with bizarre, made-up hotel "policies." Generally, we make it a point to read the hotel reviews before our stay. By not doing our due diligence this time, our entire crew paid for it... The only positive aspect of this hotel is that is was clean. This is the second time we have attempted to hold a business meeting at this location using the conference room, and the second time it has failed. Twice we clearly requested meeting space. Twice we ended up with a king suite instead. Twice we contacted Marriott corporate for help and received no meaningful assistance. As a result, twice we have been forced to cancel the reservation and move our meeting to another location. I do not understand how something as basic as booking a conference room can be mishandled repeatedly. This should be simple, yet it clearly is not at this property. The lack of support from corporate only compounded the issue. At this point, I have little confidence in this hotel’s ability to accommodate business meetings and will not be calling for a third time.
