Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Austin Buda

We booked this location for an overnight stay before we attend a funeral tomorrow. We drove 3 1/2 hours today and are staying here so we didn’t have to get up at 4am to be on time.||The location is convenient to I-35 next door to Cabelas. Marcus was polite and congenial upon our check-in, thanking me for being a Bonvoy Gold member in the process. We dropped off our bags and sought out dinner.||When we returned to the room, I immediately went to activate the deadbolt on the door. The switch just spins without fully locking the door as it should. I’m shoving the chair under it to make sure it can’t be opened.||In addition to that, the drawer won’t remain closed. Positive: Location and staff Negative: We were there for 4 nights and were told house keeping would be every other day, which is no problem. Housekeeping never came, so I would just take the trash to them and get replacement towels.

Room 414.. is very nice and accommodating...the smell from stepping in smelled so fresh and clean! You are near Walmart, HEB, fast food, dine in, the post office and my husband's favorite store....Cabela's!!

We had a family event this past weekend and I made the necessary arrangements to have an accessible King Suite with pull out sofa bed. Accessibility needed was a walk-in shower. Check in was a nightmare because even though I made the reservation beforehand they were saying that the room was blocked due to someone else getting the room we requested. They had us wait in the lobby for 30 minutes while they sorted out the error but ended up giving us a different room. First night there, the power in the room goes out around 10 PM. Electricity is important not only for the air conditioning and for charging our electronics, but the priority was my parents’ oxygen machine, you know, so they can breathe. I was in Buda for Thanksgiving and spent my 2 nights at the Fairfield...great location, service, clean rooms, good breakfast and will be back the next time I can come visit Austin/Buda area.
