Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Atlanta Suwanee

Wish they told me when I checked in that the satellite tv was down - would have gone elsewhere. It was down from the day before. Watched football game on my phone in the room. Wish there were microwaves in the rooms - no way to heat my dinner. Outlets in lamps for plugging things in not working. Could hear people running on floor above. The front desk staff were great, friendly and efficient. Room clean and good size. TVs need to be upgraded and larger (very small for today’s hotels) and more channels (when it is working). Nice that there are ice machines on each floor. Probably would bot stay here again. Bonvoy member and would expect some discount for no tv. Could make it easier to get on free internet rather than being a Bonvoy member.

Am Bonvoy member so familiar with Marriott hotels. They need to put microwaves in all rooms. I specifically got to hotel and stopped at certain time to watch football bowl games - satellite down and couldn’t get channels. Front desk people very nice and checkin great. Asked about tv and they said it was down day before but thought it was fixed - asked if it would come back tonight and said probably ot cause would have to call engineer/tech person. Should give discount on the room - if I wasnt tired would have changes hotels. Nice that ice is on every floor. Was clean, good size rooms. Was on first floor and couldn’t hear people running on floor above. Based on this stay, probably would bot stay here again.

Positive: Easy to get to and quiet Negative: The view of the rundown parking lot at the closed business next door was an ideal but I wasn't there for the view just something I noticed. The food was mediocre but happy that it was there.

Excellent location, very nice staff. Sadly it ends there. It is an old fairfield with small rooms, not much furniture, and window AC. When I checked in it was warm and damp. REALLY DAMP. Like rain forest damp. Had a very uncomfortable sweaty first night because of the humidity. I turned the AC way down then froze under the thin comforter. Everything made of metal in the room is rusty because of the damp (see the photos). I ended up leaving the AC turned down to 65 and running constantly all day and in 2-3 days it was pretty normal humidity in my room. Smelled a little moldy but not as bad as it might have. I brought a blanket in from the car to deal with the cold at night. Hallway was tired with many stains on the carpet. Bathroom was OK but the toilet was 6 inches from the wa

I checked in after a long day of travel. After getting settled in. I go to the restroom and on a towel is unopened bar of soap with hair on it . Reported it to the front desk along with photo. I was told they don't know what happened and would let the general manager know. Also offer me a packaged bar of soap. Thanks
