Extended Stay America Suites- San Diego - Carlsbad Village by the Sea

The best part of our stay was the young woman with blonde hair at the front desk (I didn’t catch her name). She was amazing—friendly, professional, personable, and genuinely sweet. She really made us feel welcomed and was the highlight of our experience. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the hotel itself. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where there wasn’t an ice machine available, and there was also no coffee maker, which was inconvenient. We went out to the pool hoping to relax and take a dip, but we noticed the plaster at the bottom of the pool had two holes, which was concerning. We were also surprised to find out we were not allowed to have alcohol, which is a first for us at a hotel. On top of that, we brought our emotional support dog, and he was not allowed to be with us outside b

I just had the most lovely stay at extended stay due to Rafiq and all the people that work here who are absolutely wonderfully kind, considerate, thoughtful, and helpful. I need a dishes and pants so I could cook. They took care of it. I needed more toilet paper. They took care of it. I needed to wash clothes. They showed me how to find the laundry and how to wash clothes they made every effort to extend kindness and helpfulness, and it made our stay here so lovely and from now on, we decided we will only stay at extended stay hotels because of this.

The entire staff is hardworking, well-trained, and professional. I really appreciate their honesty and how well they communicate. I love that the rooms include a kitchen, and each room offers a nice view.I’ve been staying here since September, and now it’s mid-January, I just keep extending my stay! That’s kind of funny for an “extended stay,” but it says a lot about how much I enjoy this hotel. The property has a nice pool, barbecues for guests to use, and plenty of parking. It’s only about 10 minutes from downtown Carlsbad, with so many great restaurants, shops, and things to do nearby.Overall, it’s a very comfortable, well-run you can say feels like home away from home. I was out today and I took a few pictures, absolutely serene.

This was our first time at an extended stay. As soon as we came in we were greeted by by a sweet older gentleman. I believe his name is Rafiq (I’m sorry if it’s wrong 😓) he was so kind and helpful. Then as we would go about our days we get greeted as well by their manager, Marisol. All who work here are very kind and helpful. All have great customer service. We enjoy Keira and Maria always greeting us as well and helping us extend our stay. They make you feel at home: I very much appreciate them and would recommend staying here to anyone.

What I understand is this hotel has been completely renovated! A lot of these *reviews are not current*. Management is fantastic, the staff has been wonderful, and the people who clean the rooms are very kind and ready to assist. I love the location, two blocks from Carlsbad beach, and very close to restaurants, and just down the street is the beach itself. I have a full kitchen which I love, and it's very clean. I have no complaints. I'm staying here in between selling my house and buying a new one.
