Extended Stay America Suites- San Antonio - North

My recent “attempted” stay at Extended Stay America - San Antonio - North was deeply frustrating and unacceptable, particularly given the property’s focus on extended stays where cleanliness is essential for comfort and health. The room’s condition upon arrival was far below basic standards, with multiple areas showing clear neglect in housekeeping and maintenance. This left me feeling uncomfortable and regretting my choice of accommodation.|The bathroom was the most concerning area. The toilet had visible hairs, black specks, and residue around the rim and base, indicating it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. The bathtub’s caulking in the corners displayed dark mold spots and discoloration, which is not only unsightly but also a potential health hazard. Additionally, the wall near the floor

One of the absolute WORST experiences I have had. Got in late last night after a 5 hr drive from Dallas only to get assigned a room for which the key didn't work. Then I go back down to the reception desk and get assigned another room. I go back upstairs to the new room and there's someone ALREADY IN THERE!! What a joke!! Whoever manages this place needs to get a new job. Finally got a room on the third try--total dump. Not impressed at all, but I guess you get what you pay for. Their gym sucks and they don't even have coffee after 930 am..sad hotel.

The room was absolutely filthy. The accent chair was scratched up, the toilet wasn't clean, the toilet seat was extremely worn, the walls had food and other debris on it ... I didn't want to touch anything. Would recommend they re-train their housekeeping.

The rooms are bad. Smells funny, ac/heater doesnt work, no heat for shower, rust on tubs. See attached photo of office chair. Why is it in the room? I had no hot water in my room and asked for a room closer to the water heater. The temperature was the same. Service is okay, many levels above the building.

Positive: The staff was friendly at check in Negative: Room was so dirty, sheets had not been changed, carpet was and felt grimy and dirty.…bathroom was dirty, bathtub had rust. Our vehicle broke down, only reason we stayed there.
