Extended Stay America Suites- Reno - South Meadows

The staff are very nice. The rooms aren't anything fancy but they are clean and they come with free cooking and eating utensils you can use with the in-room kitchen. The location is very pet friendly and my dog was very happy here. The location isn't shady from what I could tell and the building is secure anyway. The price isn't too bad either even with the pet fee ($25 per night for the first 6 then $15 after the first 6 nights) at least for one dog.

Positive: The staff was warm and friendly, and the room was clean and mell maintained. It is walking distance to food and shopping, as well as Renown South Meadows hospital. A perfect place to stay for us as we visited the hospital three times a day. Negative: The only down side is not having enough kitchen supplies (pots, pans, plates, flatware) for every room. The staff did their best to accommodate, just need to invest in more to ensure every room has some.

I was in Reno for the American Blind Bowling National Tournament. I was comped this room by American Airlines after they cancelled my flight. The hotel is clean and nice. Room was clean and looked good. My biggest issue with this place was that front desk lady. She was hateful. She was cussing and complaining about hos busy they were. There was a young man also up front, but did not appear to be working. Both were cussing the whole time I was there. When I checked out, I left my white cane on the counter and proceeded otuside. The morning front desk guy put it on the far end of the counter. He did not even bring it out to me. When I realized what I had done, I went back in and he gave it to me. We came to reno for vocation. This is our first time here in reno nevada, we get there Friday February 20th at 3pm we check in the lady was not very friendly. I ask her we need some silverware and she said, ok I will put you on the list that was 5 to 10 mins after we checked in. 5 mins after I asked for silverware I came down to get some plastic fork because we were eating and we down have anything so that time it was two of the the lady was helping me checked in and another black women, I asked the black lady if I can get some plastic fork and she likes gime me that mean look and the other lady like who that was that room 217? And the lady was make a mean eye contact to her and she's like I told her she's on the list so I say I just need it because we're eating and we don't have anything

This is my go-to place when I'm working in Reno and it snows so much that I don't feel safe driving home that's located in another city. The rooms are quiet, the people who work there are always pleasant and helpful, and they also have simple breakfast items that you can take with you to-go. Some of the breakfast items include breakfast bars, muffins, oatmeal, coffee, and tea. The rooms have a microwave, stove, refrigerator, and desk to work at. They have toiletries, except that they don't have conditioner, so you'll need to bring your own. There is no pool and no workout facility, but for my needs, I didn't need any of them.
