Extended Stay America Suites- Pittsburgh - Monroeville

I stayed at ESA Monroeville for six weeks while undergoing aggressive cancer radiation and supplementary treatments in Monroeville and Etna. I cannot say enough about how supportive and caring the entire staff was. The hotel was clean and quiet the whole time. General Manager Michael Buefort, Amber, Christie and all the others made a very challenging time into as pleasant a stay as possible.

The front desk people was really nice, tho the entrance and the entire area of parking lot was a bit sketchy. Once you walk in you instantly smell pot & cigarettes, and it smells like that throughout the entire hotel. Room Cleaning Service was incredibly loud & cussing through the hallways. The room itself was really disgusting. The bed itself was clean, but the kitchen, curtains, & bathroom all had questionable stains and was just absolutely disgusting. TV was also busted, didnt play audio correctly or picture right. And was way off center from the table and super low to the ground. I also am almost pretty sure people just live here. Im being serious when i say do not come here, as its absolutely disgusting. Just go across the street to the Holiday Inn or Courtyard.

Positive: That I had a place to sleep for the night. Negative: Hotel room was damp, humid, musty, smelled like a dirty damp ashtray. Carpet was damp and turned my feet black. Honestly disgusting and overpriced. Stayed at a days inn Somerset pa location on my trip back and it was half the price and extremely clean.

Had an emergency the 1st night staying and in the middle of the night, they were very attentive to the situation and also, the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and even the 2nd time of stay the same. Customer service was excellent as they did what they could and the best I've seen from traveling.

My stay here was great, had no problems with staff or other guests. The manager was very welcoming and accommodating as well as the supervisor in house keeping. I’m not sure what her name was but she was very nice. I would come back and stay again!!!
