Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Monroeville

The evening staff member was so welcoming, kind, and professional! Wish I would have caught their name. Also appreciated the cleanliness of the room, the pull out bed, the goodie bag, Sheetz conveniently located haha, and the shower was so nice.

This hotel is very clean and decent. The rooms look nice, the beds are very comfy and the shower is nice and elegant looking. The only reason I gave this place a 4 star is because whoever they had cleaning our room didn't take a pizza box, didn't supply us with more toliet paper (I had to call down to the front desk and ask) and never refilled our shampoo, conditioner or body wash that they have in the shower. Also i found a card on the desk with the person's name on it suggesting we give a tip. I never had a regular hotel suggest we should tip whos been cleaning our room. The only time that, that is done is when my family and I go to Mexico to an all inclusive place where they really take care of you and on a cruise ship.

From the less than friendly front desk attendant to the post-construction room, this Marriott leaves a lot to be desired. Here's a few things that other family members experienced from other rooms in the hotel.|- Poor lighting. I get that overhead lights are not possible in rooms like this, but the sparse lighting can only be described as 'accent' lighting. Not bright enough where you need it, and more of an attempt at business style over function.||-Slapdash construction. We had a post new construction room. Here's what that meant for our room: 1. Leaky shower door that made a mess all over the bathroom floor. 2. Sink that wouldn't seal- just couldn't hold water due to the fact that the drain attachment was not installed properly. 3. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Door was hin

The site manager Steve Clark informed our hockey team that they have a 0 kids in the hall policy upon check in. Kids can not walk about the hotel without an adult. Their group sales organized a block of rooms for a youth hockey tournament. They were happy to take our money and over charge us (compared to bonvoy app) for the room. Having stayed at many marriotts for hockey tournaments we have never experienced such a terrible place.
