Extended Stay America Select Suites- Detroit - Farmington Hills

When I first got there I noticed the elevators where dirty but I thought maybe this happened when housekeeping left, I get into the suit an two of the light didn’t work, there WAS food left from the previous person in the cabinets n refrigerator PLUS a cell phone, the sink didn’t drain properly and if your washing your hands you’ll notice how fast it fills up. The room definitely had an odor but I had plenty of things to make it smell better, I just needed a place till my apartment was ready and for the price I thought I could make the best of this situation. However if you stay here ask for your folio often they tend to overcharge and numbers change like my receipts quoted 47.49 for one of my days, I paid it however the manager decides to tell me I owe money, that I didn’t even owe then s

Positive: Nothing to like honestly, they offer no amenities for the rate of the room every night. They make you pay for pots and pans when the rooms have a kitchenette. Half of the dryers don’t work. Negative: Management is terrible here. They’re stingy with towels, dish soap, the WiFi is HORRIBLE, the tvs only have about 40 channels and they all play the same movies in different channels. People loudly having intercorse. A host of other things as well

My family and I have been staying here for a couple months so far until our home is ready, and it's been pleasant. The rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. It's a plus that they are very nice to my children. Angie at the front desk is a sweetheart and helps us often. Great job staff!

Matt and his team are amazing they go beyond to assist you and anything you need just let them know. Our stay has been wonderful and Peaceful and if you are looking for a place come here and put your mind at ease.

The general manager Matt is not only unprofessional but more importantly he is abusive and negligent. He is ignorant in the policies and procedures of his hotel, as well as federal law under the american disability act (ADA) regarding service animals and the policies and procedures surrounding them. He refused to accept my service animal and tried to charge me a pet fee. When I approached him with the proper paperwork, to confirm her credentials he screamed and belittled me in the lobby in front of staff and numerous other guests. He also shared private details about myself and a previous stay that I had completed about six months prior, to the person I was traveling with.
