Extended Stay America Select Suites- Charleston - North Charleston - I-526

BY FAR THE BEST EXTENDED STAY I have ever stayed at! As a previous hotel manager, You can tell the staff gives a crap and are making every effort to fix what the former staff members did not care to fix. My wife and I have been staying here on and off when I am here on business for weeks at a time and they have made sure our stay is perfect and clean as can be and no problems. Quick, simple, clean and easy peasy! Best Extended Stay in Charleston.

Positive: Nothing. Negative: The person working the desk was rude, the room wasn't very clean - especially the bathroom with a dirty toilet, and the elevator didn't work - I had to walk the length of the building then up three flights of stairs. I would never stay here again.

I had a roach in my room. The tv sigal doesn't work, the microwave doesn't work, and the heat barely functions. There is no service, zero, no one works at the front desk until 3:00pm-11:00pm so if you need anything you are completely out of luck. If your key doesn't work you are just locked out of your room until someone comes, i had to sleep in my car because no one could let me inside my room. It's dirty and trashy. They don't even give you shampoo. You get a bar of soap and that's it. Edit:I am a low maintenance person i stay in the worst of motels, one motel didn't even have hot water and this hotel is worst 2nd Edit:They replaced the microwave

I stayed with them a week and a few days, and while the staff was nice; they were not accommodating. The bathroom door was banged by looked like someone had punched it or kicked it. Had an issue with the toilet, had it overflow 3 times, and every time you sit on it the toilet would rise up off the floor a little. The bathroom floor was uneven and it looked like it needed to be redone. I told multiple guest service about it, they reported it, and gave an excuse but never came to fix it. Would stay here again, but definitely not my first choice I would probably stay at one of the other properties.

I drove 8 hours from Virginia, and before arriving, I called the front desk to let them know I would be checking in around 1:00 AM. The man on the phone told me “no problem,” and said that someone would assist me when I arrived and that I could use the lobby phone to check in. When I arrived, I used the lobby phone as instructed.
