Extended Stay America Select Suites- Baton Rouge - Citiplace

From the time I checked in until the time I checked out I felt like it was home away from home. They were very accommodating and always had a heart warming welcome. The rooms were nice and clean upon check in and the house keeper Consuela was always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! I would definitely stay here again anytime!

Review for Extended Stay Hotel The hotel is in a great area, which makes it convenient and accessible. The laundry room was a pleasant surprise—lots of washers and dryers, very clean and easy to use. The overnight new staff member was wonderful, working hard to get us checked in and showing great effort. That said, the rooms and hotel overall are in serious need of updating. The carpet was very dirty, the tub was unusable, and the room smelled strongly of smoke despite being designated non-smoking. The property was built in 2001, and it shows—everything feels worn and outdated. I do understand this is a place designed for long stays, but even then, an update is truly needed. Good location, very poor experience My wife and I stayed here last week, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. While the location is convenient, the condition and atmosphere of the hotel were unacceptable. The hallways had a strong smoke smell, which lingered throughout our stay and made the environment uncomfortable. There was also constant foot traffic and activity late at night, which made us feel uneasy and raised serious concerns about safety and the type of activity taking place on the property. The TV remote didn't have batteries,the only thing good about this place was the people at the front desk, they were professional and friendly. I do not recommend this place! Hotel smells bad, rooms are filthy, roaches and bed bugs. Tv didn’t work in either rooms. Outside I seen a used needle on the ground. Smoke detectors kept beeping needing new batteries. The owners don’t care either…based on the reviews this place has already had they have done nothing to make things better! Doesn’t matter if they reply to people’s reviews! Actions speak louder than words! I was down for cancer treatment and this place made the trip even harder… Their only saving grace is that they’re right beside a delicious burrito place… If you just absolutely have to stay here because of finances definitely bring your own cleaning supplies….

Edit: the elevators are breaking down again. Was just trapped inside again and had to call the emergency line in the elevator. They make funny grinding noises. Edit: the issue has finally been fixed. There is still maintenance and cleaning issues but the elevators work now. There are no working elevators in this 4 story building. Elevator 2 has been shut down for almost 2 months after I got stuck in it for 15 minutes. Elevator 1 had been making grinding noises, getting stuck between floors, and trapping multiple people inside but now just sits open on the 4th floor doing nothing. We've seen the elevator company out one time but have been told they have been out a few times. When I called corporate they gave me an email to upload my videos of proof and said the GM will contact me in 3 bus
