Evergreen Hotel & Suites

I stayed here last night. The room was great. The bed was comfy, the tv had lots of channels, the shower had good pressure. ||||Why two stars?||||The check-in took over 30 minutes. I realize people need to train and that was explained to me. The person who training the new employee did apologize for the delay, but she left after 15 minutes. For the next 20 minutes, the new employee didn't seem bothered that it was taking so long. I had lots of bags and requested a ground floor room. As the hotel was 95% empty, I assumed it wouldn't be a problem. She said ok, but at the end I was put on the second floor. When I mentioned it, she giggled but didn't apologize. Avoid this hotel if you're traveling with family or are not comfortable in sketchy neighbourhoods! We booked this hotel on Hotwire with one of their hot deals so we didn't know where we would be staying. We immediately checked reviews when we got the hotel name and the reviews were accurate but Hotwire would not let us cancel. So we reluctantly came here for the night with our baby. The hotel is what it is...exactly what you'd expect from a 1-2 star hotel. I went down the street to pick up some food and there was a large gathering of "street people" well over 50...what I would describe as a 'tent city'. All the negative reviews you're reading are 100% accurate. Sketchy area, very low standard of cleanliness, and poor service. We got stuck staying here after booking through Hotwire where you don't see the hotel name until after you book. Would not have stayed here otherwise. Steer clear of this place if you can.

Very bad, I will give it less than one star if it was available. Towels old and dirty, not enough toilet paper and to make it the place was very noisy specially after 12am with people in parking lot we couldn't sleep. The place is not worth it regardless of the price, pay more any where else in area.

The breakfast was fresh and had a nice variety of options.
