Eureka Hotel

Here’s the revised version with that correction: --- We spent this past weekend on Block Island and had no idea it was the Holiday Stroll — such a fun surprise! The restaurants and shops were all open and festive, and we were especially happy we chose to stay at the Eureka Hotel for the second time. This visit we stayed just one night (Friday into Saturday) in Room 302, and were greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself is gorgeous — everything feels brand new. The calming carpet and paint colors, along with the views of the ocean and the farm, made it feel like the perfect winter escape. We recently made a last minute decision to leave the mainland and head over to Block Island for the holiday stroll. We had the pleasure of staying at the Eureka Hotel, part of The 1661 Resort family.The Eureka is a stunning property. When you ascend the hill to this property, you have views people dream of. The well-appointed balconies, plentiful layouts, tall ceilings and stunning decor make this a 5 star destination. The animal farm on-site is a fun perk! The staff were wonderful! Overall, I enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things that need to be fine tuned. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff were warm and welcoming. That said, a few small adjustments to the hotel information and communication could make the experience even better. Amenities: • Beach towels – They do have them, but we didn’t find out until day two because it wasn’t mentioned at check-in. It would have been great to know before arrival so we could have packed lighter. • Shuttle – The hotel offers a shuttle to the ferry, but it stops running at 5 p.m. We managed fine, but knowing this ahead of time (especially for check-in day) would have saved us from lugging beach gear and suitcases up the hill. • Day-use shower – Such a thoughtful touch! The Eureka Hotel is truly an exquisite experience and a beautiful property with gorgeous views of the ocean. The staff were so kind and accommodating and the rooms were beautiful, spacious and very clean. Highly recommend this property for your next stay on Block Island!

Booked a room last minute, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The views were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking both the farm and the water, and the amenities were brand new. I would happily stay here again!
