Island Manor Resort

We have stayed in a number of exchange time share resorts in the U.S. and abroad. This is not fancy or upscale but it is exactly as advertised. Clean, very clean, convenient located within walking distance of anything in town. It has free parking, the grounds are well maintained and each room is stocked with just about anything you might need. The WiFi was excellent and the rooms are very quiet and comfortable.

We got there and the front office was locked and we had to call the emergency number just to check in. When the lady arrived she seemed pissed that we bothered her to check in. Once we got into our rooms we had no towels and later realized we didn’t even have blankets. There was no one there to ask for them and we had to sleep through a very cold night. Would not recommend.

The property manager, Jessie is great. She is very accommodating and friendly. I was disappointed that the unit did not have a "porch" to relax outside. Each unit has an outside area - BUT it is basically a walkway to get to one's room. If one stays here during the season (July, August), expect to have a lot of people walking by your window - where our bed was.

This “motel-like” resort has a great location within walking distance of the waterfront, the grocery, and a number of restaurants. Rooms were okay, kitchen adequate. Didn’t care for the shared balcony, even during off-season. Especially true when other guests were smoking on the balcony and the smoke drifted into our room. Parking is tight. Stairs only to 2nd floor. Staff very friendly.

A little gem of a place on Block Island. Remember it’s a rustic, old fashioned island so if your looking for room service and concierge pick a different destination. What this place had is charm, great service and a great location in town. Your a block off the main drag from all the shops, restaurants and bars. 10-15 minute walk to the beach too. We just came in March which is my favorite time of year, very quiet. Only a couple bars/restaurants open but the island is quiet and peaceful, had the beach to ourselves. The manager Desiree is awesome.
