Encore Motel - Venice

PUBLIC SERVICE WARNING These people will steal your money!! AVOID!! Absolutely shocking customer service and experience. These people refused to return my booking after they were unable to accommodate my vehicle. They've stolen from me and are refusing to engage in any communication or refund. I would avoid this place unless altogether. There are nicer, cheaper, and more accomodating options close by that I would suggest trying.

We visited for one night in July 2024 with friends. The motel was even better than expected! It has free parking, rooms are clean and have everything you need including fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, coffee maker and toiletries. Very impressed with the room for the price and location. It’s not too far from Venice Beach area which suited us. There’s also shops within walking distance if you fancy a bite to eat! We would definitely recommend a stay here and if we visit LA again we will definitely stay here.

I dis not stay here but I picked up my friend. Staff is very patient and helpful. Rooms looked clean. It seems a decent place for the price.

Good value. The good: mini  fridge, microwave , AC,  good hot water , fairly comfy bed and fairly fluffy towels. Coffee maker made very watery coffee (glad we brought our plastic filter drip stuff and better ground coffee. Room away from street surprisingly quiet. . Looks clean, but both rooms had a faint funny smell (like urine miixed w cleaning product.) my husband and adult daughter couldn’t smell it but I have a super nose.)

This hotel is very old and in a very poor condition. However, I saw the effort from a hotel receptionist, who I guess is also the owner, trying to fix the issues. I gave one extra star for his effort. The original unit assigned to us was old and smelled stale.The carpet was dirty. There was mold on wood area. The outer part of window AC unit was rusty. I also saw red-color thing attached to the near-to-floor area of a bed frame, which I suspect is jam. Later, we found that there was no hot water in this unit. The receptionist tried to solve the issue first and later followed instructions of a plumber through a phone call. We waited for 1.5 hours to 2 hours, and checked with him about the progress a few times. Eventually, he changed our unit to another one. However, I found that the lock d
