Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston Downtown

Google says this is a 3 star hotel but it is atleast a 4 star. The rooms were really nice. Complimentary breakfast was actually really good compared to alot of other places ive stay. The pool and fitness facilities were clean. My one knock is that I hate having only a valet option for parking and the rates are a touch pricey. I typically dont spend a lot of time in a room whole traveling so I dont really need the room to be fancy, just clean really. Not a bad place to stay at all

My family and I recently stayed here for the Houston Chevron Marathon weekend. This is the second time that we stay here, and it is THE BEST choice! Every person was patient and helpful; Claude was awesome and the manager was HIGHLY accommodating.The women in the dining area were friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious and absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was convenient and accessible despite the various road closures around downtown. We will definitely stay here again!!!!

I can not say enough great things about our stay this past weekend at the Embassy Suites in downtown Houston. Suite #1401.|From the easy early check in, a rep was checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The suite was spotless and very roomy for us 5. We enjoyed the beautiful pool, the hot tub, and the "happy hour" drinks (2 complimentary) and free appetizers from 5:30-7:00 PM. What a great treat before we headed out for the night. The breakfast was excellent. Made to order. In was in walking distant to many great spots, including Toyota Center and Discover Green. The view was great.|When we checked out the next morning we were able to leave our bags while we attended an event at the Toyota Center. Barn doors…are we in 1800s..why every hotel room has to have a barn door let alone bathroom of all places?? Thats the most ridiculous thing ever. There is zero privacy and there is a huge gap between the door and the wall. All sounds and smells travel freely in the room…I mean who does that? The room however was spacious and smelled fresh but in some places it showed its age especially the bathroom looked worn out. Really needs renovations. The breakfast was included and it was good! Omelette is freshly cooked right in front of you. Valet parking is $60 but you can park across the street for much less and still be able to go in and out (I paid $30 for 28 hours).
