3.5/5 Check-in was a great start to our stay. The staff was amazing—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which immediately set a positive tone. We were pleasantly surprised to receive two drink tokens for the evening reception, and the happy hour atmosphere was enjoyable and well organized. Unfortunately, the room itself fell short of expectations. The pillows were very old and completely flat, making it difficult to get comfortable. Although the room was designated as non-smoking, there was a persistent odor that lingered even with the air conditioning running. This raised concerns about air quality. The room would benefit from some updates, particularly in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The carpet appears to be holding odors and should ideally be removed or replaced. Addit

Full transparency…… The GM, Barry did give us 10K Hilton Honor points as a good faith gesture regarding the room issues that will be explained in this review, but let me start by saying that the Senate Room Hospitality staff, specifically, Mr. James Collins saved this hotel from just a horrible review. Ms Barbara was great as well, but we had more interactions with James who went over and beyond to decorate the space and accommodate us before even hearing about our issues with the rooms. The food was amazing too! I wanted to get that out before becoming longwinded. So we booked the Senate room and a block of several rooms for our daughter’s LSU graduation party last week. The hotel staff is super nice. Lyna was very welcoming and kind. The hotel was beautiful but room needed to possibly be deep cleaned and the tub was peeling. The carpet had stains that was slightly scary to see. Unsure if it could have been liquid or bodily fluids.Theres also plastic bags or something across the bedroom window. I just assume there’s some sort of construction going on. Outside of the room I did enjoy my stay. It was also nice seeing families enjoy the indoor pool.

Decent place to spend a weekend. Hotel lobby really nice and so were the people... Rooms are dated (90's- 00's era). T.V. is basic ➕️ cable, really could stand to cut the cord and update to streaming. Really missing my YouTube, Prime and Netflix right about now. I know what you're probably saying; "just use your phone". Who in the Hell wants to hold their phone for hours on end to watch a movie on a 6" screen? NOT ME! Overall not a horrible stay and the breakfast is pretty good. If we had to come back to Baton Rouge, we'd probably stay somewhere where we could stream but the minute they do upgrade/update the rooms, we'd be back... Oh yeah! Maybe they should require a dress code for the breakfast buffet. Most of us don't want to eat with strangers in their bonnets and pajamas. IJS.
