Ellijay River House Bed & Breakfast

This cozy B&B lives up to its reputation as being quaint with a feeling of home. We stayed three nights for a couples getaway and couldn’t be more pleased. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice even though they aren’t en-suites. We watched TV in the family room, shut the pocket doors and turned on the fireplace. It was really cold outside during our time there so this made it feel like home. We had the most delicious breakfasts and walked downtown to eat at the local pub one night. The town is definitely walkable. Seth and Tram provide full on hospitality. We didn’t partake in any evening desserts others mentioned but we did have access to coffee or tea anytime. Well, there is so much to say about this B&B but I will start with the wonderful hospitality from Chum and her charming husband! Their home is simply beautiful, comfortable, clean and nestled on the river with so many different outdoor living spaces to enjoy. Our bedroom and private bath were gorgeous and the bed/bedding was extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast was delicious! They even share a firepit to enjoy during the evening hours. Well there is a lot to describe about this lovely B&B! First of all, Chum and her husband are very hospitable and friendly couple. The Inn is just so beautiful, clean, comfortable and a place I hope to return. Our room and private bath were top of the line cozy with beds/bedding as soft as could be. The breakfast was delicious served overlooking the river! There are also several outdoor living areas to enjoy along with a firepit, lit especially upon request. My wife and I stayed December 16 and 17. The location was ideal, within a couple of blocks of downtown. The building was attractive and very well decorated for the holiday season. Our room was spacious and well furnished with an ultra comfortable bed. Could have used a reading lamp by the chair, but otherwise fine. Bathroom was down the hall but private and very nicely done. That being said, could have used a second set of towels already stocked when we arrived. Everything in the building was very neat and tidy. All that being said, we did have issues with the heat. Apparently, the owners turn the heat way down. The entire lower floor where the television, games, dining area, etc. was 60 degrees at night and upstairs where the rooms were did not fare much better. We complained and t

We had the absolute best experience at the Ellijay River House Bed and Breakfast! We had our small wedding in the beautiful backyard by the river, and it could not have been more perfect. The setting was stunning, peaceful, and just a short walk from downtown Ellijay, making it convenient for us and our family. Seth and Tram are truly amazing hosts — so kind, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure everything for our special weekend went smoothly, from helping with the setup to making everyone in our family feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and full of charm, and breakfast each morning was delicious! If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or a beautiful place to celebrate something special, this is it.
