Elk Mountain Lodge

The Elk Mountain Lodge is a blend of cozy, charming, majestic, and convenient. The rooms are quaint with the best use designed for each space. They don’t get 5 stars as they are small and sometimes hard to maneuver (3rd floor room). The staff is friendly, helpful, and one can tell that they authentically like their jobs. The bus to mountain village is a block and a half away which makes it easy to park your car and either walk or bus to where you want to go. It wouldn’t be a full review without mentioning the impressive number of plants living on all floors in the lodge. They soften the atmosphere and bring life to otherwise dark nooks. I highly recommend giving Elk Mountain a go.

Some friends recommended this lodge and they were spot on! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here and will stay here again. The staff is super friendly, the bed/beddings are very comfortable, the breakfast is really good and far better than you typically get, and rates are reasonable for the location. Easy 3 block walk to downtown. Lots of sitting space on the main level to relax, read, etc.

We have stayed many times at Elk Mountain Lodge. This was one of our nicest stays ever. We stayed in the smallest room, which has everything we need and stays comfortably warm at night. The staff here are attentive and friendly, they gave us great advice and suggestions on things to do, and really made us feel at home. We love staying in Crested Butte. The experience of staying at elk mountain Lodge makes each stay unforgettable for us. Kudos to Eric, who took care of our every need with cheer and efficiency!

First time staying here at the recommendation of friends. It’s a great spot in CB…3 block walk to downtown, quiet neighborhood setting. This old lodge has been very well maintained. Lots of sitting and lounging room on main floor. Bed/bedding are comfortable. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is way above average! Price is reasonable for the area.

This was a terrific place to overnight after our hike over from Aspen. The staff were lovely and friendly. Shout out to Cas (sp?) for welcoming us and regaling us with local lore as she served us in their quaint bar. Rooms were modest but clean and comfortable and all that you need. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the morning staff (I didn't get their names) were also all smiles and accommodating to us and our dog Otis
