Elevation Hotel & Spa

This was my third stay at this hotel, and unfortunately it will be my last.||I’m paying over $480 per night and the room had a strong odor of pet urine that made it very uncomfortable. The hotel also advertises amenities, including room service, that were not actually available. As a solo traveler here on New Year’s Eve, I specifically booked this hotel expecting the convenience of room service and a relaxing stay.||I was also placed on a lower floor where it was extremely loud throughout the night, including repeated beeping noises that made it difficult to sleep.||My first two stays were great, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Something has clearly gone wrong, and for the price, basic cleanliness, accurate amenity listings, and a quiet room should be expected. Sadly,

Positive: Nice big room, dog friendly, great Mexican restaurant onsite! Negative: Our room was on the top floor without AC - very hot. Also parking in their lot was $30/day but when prompted we were told of a free lot a block away.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was not properly maintained and had visible mold in multiple areas, which is completely unacceptable and a serious health concern. The smell was musty, and it was clear the issue had been there for some time without being addressed. To make matters worse, the walls were incredibly thin. I could hear full conversations from neighboring rooms, TVs playing late into the night, doors slamming, and people walking down the hallway. There was absolutely no sense of privacy or quiet. The most frustrating part of the stay was being woken up very early in the morning by staff moving snow off the roof. I really enjoyed a massage at the Elevation Spa. It was very convenient being located right at the bottom of the lifts. Facilities were very nice and clean. Amanda took great care of me offering an extremely relaxing massage, while being careful with my recently broken wrist. I would definitely go back my next time in Crested Butte.

This hotel used to be our favorite but has gone downhill. Rooms are dirty and dated, bed smelled like urine. Also be aware of all the hidden fees. We had to pay more than $100 per day extra for taxes, parking, and a rollaway bed fee of $35 per day. We didn’t even use the rollaway bed because it was so bad but since it was never communicated that there is an additional fee for the rollaway bed, we kept it in the room.
