Eldorado Reno - A Caesars Rewards Destination

One of the worst stays i've had at a hotel. It all started at the check-in. I get there around 2:45. I had reserved the player's suite. I'm told its not ready yet and that it has to be cleaned but that they were on it right away and that i'd be CALLED as soon as it was finished. An hour goes by and no call. I had to go back myself and inquire about it to a very rude male staff member who had had his head down (studying I guess?) since the last time I went to the front an hour prior. I could barely comprehend his grumbles as he handed me my keys. Biggest irritation is what follows after. I go about my day at the casino and do some gambling, get some drinks, etc.. About 4-5 hours go by and I go back to my room to order room service. They get to my room with the food and ask for my ID. Oops

OMG!!! El Dorado never disappoints!! Shower hot and water pressure so good, I didn’t want to get out!! We are in a suite where I plan to tub this evening with an excellent view. Price is right!. So fresh and clean which is terribly important to me! Staff is friendly, I really feel at home here! Xo

I really debated about giving this place if 4 or 5, but in the end it ended up a 4 because the food options are really limited and there was no hot tub or spa, at least not right now. Would have been appreciated in the winter to have a hot tub. I had a room facing the mountains and it was absolutely gorgeous, clean and did not smell like some Casino rooms. Nice selection of slots, had a little bit of nostalgic feel but with some updates. I appreciated that it's all connected to the Silver Spur and Circus Circus which do have some more food options. The lady let me know there is a hot tub at the Silver spur, but I did not want to go trekking around in my bathing suit.

Positive: Ichiban restaurant was awesome, and staff was nice and helpful Negative: upgraded premium room we decided to upgrade they offered was subpar kind of dirty and still smell like smoke even though it was a non-smoking floor. Roxy's food was a joke my $16 Caesar salad was a few pieces of lettuce crusty bread and anchovies

I have been coming here for 30 years now. My biggest complaint with this hotel is the elevators. Only a couple work. Not sure what the deal is there. It’s not for a lack of money. So many escalators are out of service also. I had foot surgery earlier this week and found this very irritating. It doesn’t make sense. People will be waiting and waiting for an elevator just to get to their room. I expect better. After spending New Years in Vegas, these little issues are more noticeable to me.
