Customer Reviews
The room was clean, comfortable and very close to the center of Santa Fe. It was at a great price point considering its location. A few issues that I had were that the bathroom was renovated but the old metal window remained. It was drafty and condensation dripped off the sill and onto the floor. The barn door on the bathroom lacks privacy with large gaps. In fact, from the shower I could see the mirror outside the bathroom which means whomever is standing there can see me. The “closet” is also immediately in the other side of the door which allows for bathroom scents to waft out onto your clothes. The security lock needs to be more than an old chain system considering that the door faces directly to the outside. A slide bar at the least or a deadbolt would be a better option.
We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we appreciated having a coffee maker in the room. The front desk staff was reasonably friendly, and it was nice that complimentary coffee is available in the lobby throughout the day. Parking is available for an additional daily fee. The location is definitely a highlight — shops and restaurants in the heart of Santa Fe are all within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, the breakfast was extremely disappointing and did not meet basic expectations. Nothing seemed fresh. The toast was rock hard, and the scrambled eggs appeared to have been sitting out far too long and had an unpleasant smell. Overall, the breakfast quality was very poor, and we would strongly recommend saving y
Nice stay… Last month, we stayed at this place for three days with our friends while visiting Santa Fe over the Christmas holiday. The room had a nice décor and was clean and spacious. It has modern amenities, including refrigerator. Private parking was available on-site for a daily fee of $10. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Additionally, it is situated close to a good number of eateries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a location that I would heartily recommend.
Positive: The sheets were VERY soft! The desk attendant was very welcoming. Negative: The window covering did NOT cover the window well. We had to use the ironing board and a pillow to secure it. There was no view as the photos appeared to show. The bed was a little sunken in.
The 3 Ls of real estate apply: the hotel positions you about 4 blocks from the Plaza. Plus for $10/day you're done struggling to find parking. Coffee in the lobby a big plus for those who run on caffeine. Santa Fe really is a walkable city: we easily rambled to the Railyard and back one afternoon, enjoying a different route each way.
