El Rancho Motel

This place is such a gem. The bed was beyond comfortable. It had to be memory foam. The linens were all super clean, the air was cool, room was clean, water pressure in shower was excellent and the pool, WOW. So relaxing and never a lot of people in it - if ever while we were there. Perfect location next to Bootleg canyon where I could run as the sun rises, while hearing a pin drop, then Coffee Cup Cafe for a delicious fresh hot breakfast! We met one of the owner's and he was great! I needed a hair dryer and the front desk loaned me one. The grounds are super clean. We would go to a gas station near by to get coffee in the morning. 11am check out is fabulous! Housekeeping gets 5 stars too! I cannot WAIT to go back!

If you like BED BUGS and Black MOLD this is the spot to get your fix!!! Was staying in room and saw a lot of black mold in ceiling of shower. Then had bed bug bites and found one crawling over my chest as I lay in bed. I caught it and put it in a zip lock bag. Management did not even want to see it and stated I brought the bugs with me. Found 2 more under bed. By time the staff came in and Aggressively ripped off cover and flip mattress over on to my bag they said they didn't see any and still would not acknowledge the one in the bag I caught. Left it on the bed and left!!! It was 9pm and management wouldn't refund and still had to go find and pay for another room elsewhere. Steer clear

What a great little place! This is an older property but clearly lovingly well maintained and managed. My room was very clean, with a comfortable queen bed. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv. The bathroom, by contrast, looks brand new. Nice tile stand up shower stall, and new sink and fixtures though not without its quirks as remodels often have. Here there is no light in the shower so you have to keep curtain open a bit in order to see. You also have to close the door if you need toilet paper as holder is attached to the back of the door. Still, it's functional. The floors in the room are uneven and sloped, but that just seemed to give this place charm and character. Excellent value and well worth the stay.

Owners/staff are very nice, but the rooms are quite overpriced at $100 on a Friday night. Sheets etc all clean, but bathrooms pretty gross with cracked tiles, dirty grout etc. Just seems like it's all run down and needing a remodel. Considering new hotels in the area are about the same price, we'll go elsewhere next time.

9pm my husband had a BED BUG run across him while laying in bed. When he called the front desk to complain, they came into the room and flipped the mattress against his duffle bag, which was on the dresser. When he asked for a refund, they said no, that he brought the bugs and only gave him a refund for tomorrow night. He's been there for 3 nights already!! Worst customer service!!!! And there's bed bugs!! DO NOT stay here!!!
