Room was gorgeous, staff was frustrating to deal with but nothing impossible, was just a simple mistake with the room that took a bit longer than it should have to correct. Attached restaurant was fantastic, and the room was clean and modern. Out of over 250 hotels I've stayed at in the last 18 months, this one takes the new #1 spot for most comfortable mattress. I wish I could find out what it was to replace my home one.
My sister and I stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean with fridge and microwave. We were able to use towels and beach chairs from the front desk, and Stop and Shop next door was convenient for snacks. If one drove there was convenient parking. |The down side...its a mile from the water and there are limited sidewalks. Photos of hotel are of area but not really the hotel. There was no outside seating except for a |Small table next to parking area...looked more like a smokers area. There was no pool...which surprised me given the price point. Town resaturant attached to the hotel only opened at 5...and dedk gave vague directions toward nearby options for lunch or breakfast. No suggestions from desk about places to visit...Uber drivers were more helpful. There was a free bus line around the
The room was wonderful as was the location. However, the issue with this hotel is a staff member. While the rest of the staff was kind, respectful and helpful, there is one woman who stood out from the rest as disrespectful and unwelcoming. Kinesha at the front desk was extremely rude and had a serious attitude problem. I watched her berate my husband over a technical issue that the hotel had over being able to charge a credit card. We had already paid the full amount via Booking.com and there was some sort of connection issue between that site and the hotel’s system. It was later resolved but she wanted to double charge us, and we did not want to be double charged. We were completely calm and just wanted to solve this issue but she raised her tone with us. I was standing next to my husban
Due to a fire alarm nuisance. I expected to sleep in as we had gotten in late the night before and rest and sleep is very important in my profession. I was not given a chance to sleep in but rather I was rudely awakened around 6am to a loud fire alarm that seemed to go on forever. When I inquired with the front desk about the fire alarm, I was told that it was due to someone taking a very hot shower and the steam triggered the fire alarm. Furthermore, I was told that it happens a lot due to the steam from the shower. The annoying part about this is that it’s a known issue, but nothing has been done about it to prevent a false alarm. When I spoke to the hotel manager, he was not at all understanding my concerns and issue but rather condescending by saying “hey at least the alarm works
The hotel itself was just fine. The staff was very nice and professional. It was definitely the best price for the area for the busy time of the year. The walls were a little thin - you could hear footsteps and conversations from other rooms too easy. We heard people walking down the hall all the time, night and day. We also did not realize how far away it was from the main areas in Edgartown - I think we thought this was the Edgar Inn (which is right near the water). It is great if you do not want to go around the shops, waterfront, or restaurants. The area is very quiet and somewhat remote. There is even a grocery store next door to the hotel - which was convenient. Depending on what you want, this place might be right for you. It did the job for our stay, but would probably
