The Sydney

We haven't stayed at a B&B in a long time but our travel agent booked this for us and it was perfect. Yes it's expensive at high season but we felt that it was worth it for the absolutely perfect location, beautiful room, lovely courtyard and most delicious breakfast each day. Angela at the front desk helped us map out all the things to do and we had a wonderful long weekend in Edgartown. The photos on the website are exactly like the hotel appears. Cool style! Oh yes, the homemade cookies were a total treat at the end of the day;)

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Sydney, The location was so close to all the stores, restaurants and sights you want to see in Edgartown. Everything is a short walking distance. Yet once in the hotel, you felt like it was a lovely oasis. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautiful and the bathrooms were perfect. There is a lovely courtyard where you can relax and eat the breakfast they serve or just hangout. And in the evening they have a fire pit. The service was great! We felt very well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Martha’s Vineyard.

The Sydney in Edgartown is truly a gem for anyone seeking exceptional accommodations on Martha’s Vineyard. Alison, the General Manager, was absolutely wonderful, warm, attentive, and welcoming. The property itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful details that make for an unforgettable stay. I can’t wait to return!

The location of The Sydney Hotel in the middle of Edgartown is wonderful. While being in the center of everything, the hotel still offers a quiet and peaceful environment. The staff are most helpful in providing local information.

This is an outstanding boutique hotel - we loved it. It is in a great location in Edgartown and close to all shopping, boating, and beaches.
