Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Near Lackland AFB

You know I hardly ever leave reviews for stuff like this but I travel quite a bit for work and I just had to say something.My stay here had to be one of the best I’ve had in a while I’m usually pretty nervous at most hotels but this one made me feel very comfortable and safe the staff were super friendly and really attentive to my concerns and the beds were super clean for once . Honestly would choose this one first if I ever come on back through here again . Manager was super professional and quite knowledgeable . In my opinion a very stand up and sharp young man

I got to the hotel at approximately 12:45 a.m., much later than expected due to flight delays. Upon my arrival, the person behind the desk was not even remotely friendly. I understand safety is a priority, but treating people like they're all criminal-wanna-be's isn't cool. The room was pretty clean, I'd give it an 8/10. The outside on the other hand was gross! I'd give it a 1/10. Pressure washing the sidewalk, stairways, and common areas would go a LONG way. Plus, they had stuff stored on the outside the building by our doors & stair ways. I used the ice machine (which also sits outside) and found bugs in the ice. YUCK. Probably nothing management can do, but it definitely wasn't appetizing. Positive: it's alright, but they charged the parking lot, most of the Hotel I stayed never charge the parking lot. they were always Free. I am very surprised when this location charge for parking fee Negative: My girl friend forgot her special necklace, after we had left the hotel about 2hrs. I called in the front desk, Told her about the necklace that had left on the TV. 's corner.The front desk employee told me that she gonna check with the janitor.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ECONO LODGE INN & Suites! DECEPTIVE!!! Bribery!!!! Rude!! Ocean practice false claims to get money out of guest! THE CHARGE FOR THE ROOM WAS $70.05. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THAT THEY WILL TAKE OUT ANOTHER $100 DOLLARS, SUPPOSEDLY THEY WILL HOLD FOR 7 DAYS, IN WHICH THEY MAKE UP SOMETHING TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. IN OUR CASE WE WERE ACCUSED OF SMOKING IN THE ROOM AND BURNING THE MATTRESS PAD. WE DO NOT SMOKE AND DID NOT SMOKE IN THE ROOM. THE MATTRESS PADDING AND SHEETS WERE REMOVED FROM THE BED, BECAUSE THEY WERE FULL OF URINE AND BLOOD. WE RESTED ON OUR OWN SHEETS. THE FIRST TIME WE CALLED, WE WERE TOLD TO GIVE IT 7 DAYS, BECAUSE IT WAS A HOLIDAY AND YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK. AFTER WE DID NOT RECEIVE THE $100 DEPOSIT. WE CALLED BACK AND WAS TOLD BY AN IRRATE GENERAL MAN

I stayed for a period of 3 days, the service was exceptional, and the staff were quite nice. Room was clean and presentable once I returned. I recommend this establishment.
