Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Houston NW-Cy-Fair

This property has been a sanctuary compared to the Quality Inn where we previously resided as tenants for many months! We do not have issues with vagrants trespassing on the property. The exterminator came to treat the room on our first day, and we have had no issues with vermin at all! Everything is clean both inside and outside, and nothing appears to be in disrepair. We love the "plank-style" hard floors instead of carpeting! Having a kitchen area with full-sized refrigerator and cooktop is the greatest amenity! Our bathroom is a safe-haven; comfortable and spacious! The closet area holds all of our clothes, and the built-in shelving helps keep the clutter out of our way and organized! I chose the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Houston NW–Cy-Fair after seeing its rating on Choice Hotels and decided to give it a shot. The area was okay, but the guest environment felt questionable. I was extremely disappointed to request a non-smoking room, only to be placed in a smoking room. Even worse, we had to move twice — the first time after finding a roach on the pillow we had just laid our toddler on, which made us very nervous about cleanliness in the next room.||It’s surprising to see that this property won a Choice award, as it clearly seems to have gone downhill. While I could see attempts at upgrades, things like the light fixture pulling away from the ceiling and issues in the sitting area show a lack of upkeep.||I wouldn’t recommend this property for families. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel. This place is absolutely disgusting, especially considering they charge as if it were a decent hotel. We had just arrived to our room and when we opened the bed, it was obvious that the sheets and blankets had NOT been washed. There were hairs and visible stains on the bedding, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. On top of that, as soon as you walk into the room, there is a very strong and unpleasant smell. The overall cleanliness of the room is terrible and made us feel uncomfortable staying there. This hotel does not meet basic cleanliness standards. I would not recommend staying here at all.

The woman at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant in helping us book a last minute room when our original reservations fell through Leaving us stranded out of state. She had availability which was a miracle considering every where else was booked for the event nearby. Easy check in, 80 for one night which worked great for our situation, and the rooms were good. A wee bit run down, but to be expected. Having comfortable beds, a hot shower and clean space was more than enough. And the bathroom mirror was fantastic for doing your makeup.

So I checked in for my wedding with my wife to be that way and when her bridesmaids were helping her get ready for he wedding the merchant accused me of lying and never asked why the bridesmaids were there and kicked us out, not even an hour after paying $95 for the room for the night under pretenses he obviously didn't consider. Don't bother with this location as the merchant will kick customers out and yet ignores other people there that looks suspicious.
