Econo Lodge Houston Northwest - Cypress

This is by far the best Econo Lodge I’ve stayed at. The property is well updated, consistently clean, and clearly maintained with care. The room felt fresh, safe, and comfortable, not worn or neglected like most budget hotels. Staff presence and overall upkeep made a noticeable difference. It exceeded expectations and set a higher standard than any other Econo Lodge I’ve experienced.

Quite satisfied with this hotel. Everything was what I paid for, and the price was reasonable. The people staying around were friendly, though it seemed many stayed there long-term, which gave a different vibe than I'm used to. But no one bothered me & I felt safe staying there. The room was very large, the bathroom was beautiful, the air worked well, and the management was friendly. I stayed for multiple days & was very comfortable. It was also next door to a new Chinese buffet that was very good, and I'd recommend Harold's chicken nearby- their gizzards were the best I've ever had & their catfish was Delicious!

The room was quite nice and was overall clean. Only issue I ran into cleanliness wise was the microwave had material below the warming plate. Almost looked like rust. The main reason I will not recommend is the amount of noise I experienced from neighbors, other patrons at hotel. Constant coming and going, people hanging out in parking lot, yelling and fights all through the night. Looked like the long term stays that were ruining the rest for other patrons. Management did nothing to curb this over the 4 nights I suffered through my stay.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted. The check in was extremely fast,all that was asked was no smoking or pets. The room was clean and smelled great. The parking was super easy as well.

I normally don’t have any preference for a smoking or non smoking room. I’m a casual smoker and often times if I will smoke I usually do it in the designated area. However in my last visit I was charged a deposit for a non smoking room even though the room assigned was clearly a smoking room as there was no smoke detector, the cleanliness was very poor and overall conditions are things I’ve seen for smoking designated rooms. As a platinum member I was pretty unsatisfied that I was charged a deposit for a room that is clearly a smoking designated room. Again, I usually don’t have any preference for which room I am assigned but the fact that a deposit was charged and the room conditions were for a smoking room I was very dissatisfied.
