Econo Lodge Carlsbad Caverns Area

The room was not clean. The floor had dirty dried spots in and around the bathroom. There was something sprayed on the back splash by the sink and under the shelf in the toilet room. The threshold between the room and the toilet room was not cleaned. The hair dryer only worked on one speed. I was unable to get the hair conditioner out of the bottle! The paint in the room and on the bathroom door was poorly done. I could see light around the door to the room (could admit insects or snakes). The windows had not been cleaned. It was not the quality I expected for a CHOICE room!! The bed was clean and comfortable, the bathtub was clean, the price was reasonable, and the breakfast area was reasonably clean. It was rundown and not it great shape, breakfast was free so rubbery eggs lol but free so...it's saving grace was the shower!! Great water pressure and super hot water that didn't run out!! So I think it was worth the stay in spite of the bad. Also, notice on the website it reads "quiet rooms are not guaranteed " it was noisy even with a fan we brought. The walls are very thin and you can hear neighbors talking normally and the outside noises were loud as well.

The hotel is nice for what it is. I stayed for about 4 months while I was working and never had any problems. It was supposed to be a temporary stay but I got comfortable and decided on staying longer. The service was good the hotel room was cleaned everyday. And I never had problems with roaches or other pests. Pretty solid hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay while you work in the Carlsbad area

If I could do 0 stars I would. This place is gross. The floors are dirty. Marks all over the mirros and the bathroom was dirty. We found two cockroaches! The rooms smells musty. Absolutely gross!

The rooms were clean & satisfactory. The service staff was really polite & helpful. Reasonably priced.. The breakfast was a little weak..
