Everything was great. The place was clean, well organized, and very peaceful. It’s a perfect spot if you want a quiet and relaxing getaway. The staff were very attentive and always smiling. You can tell they are experienced and truly care about their guests. They seem to understand what you need even before you ask. The heated pool was amazing, and after swimming you can enjoy a cocktail in the large heated tent with a stove inside. The decoration is beautiful honestly it feels like the kind of place I always imagined for a relaxing escape. One of the best parts was the sauna. While relaxing inside, you can even see deer walking around the mountains, which makes the whole experience feel even more special and peaceful. One small tip: it’s a good idea to take a few extra towels before g
We had a great time at Eastwind - The hotel is very new and well kept with an amazing design sense. It feels private, small and cozy. The food at the restaurant, while not cheap was delicious and very impressive for feeling so remote. Cocktails were great. The bar / restaurant has a magical feel. The staff is lovely - very accommodating and nice. The rooms feel really special - they are small, but are done super well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We are raving about our trip and are happy (stayed for one night), but I do think its worth nothing a few callouts / things I wish I might have known ||- The Lushna Suites shown on the website have a private forest view. There are 6 of these and at least 3 of them look inward onto the resort and onto the path to check in / restaura
Overall we had a good experience but the rooms are starting to get run down. When we arrived we thought we had a cabin but we were in the hotel building. There isn’t much privacy in the lower hotel rooms. There are no blinds on the 3 of 4 windows, even the window in the shower and you are ground level. There is also no lock on the inside of the door which is odd for a hotel room. There was evidence there was a lock at some point but not anymore. There isn’t enough parking for the hotel so we had to park outside the facility. There also appears to be a dog kennel or something behind the hotel because there are constantly dogs barking. On the positive side there is hiking right near by and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The pool and saunas are nice. I think the heaters automatica
Our family of five has stayed at Eastwind several times, visiting all of their New York locations — Windham, Oliverea Valley, and Lake Placid — and we genuinely love them all. Eastwind is the perfect blend of thoughtful design, beautifully collected interiors, comfort, and impeccable service, all set within some of the most peaceful and breathtaking natural settings in New York State. Each property feels intentional and special, yet consistently warm and welcoming. Whether it’s a ski trip, hiking through the mountains, swimming in the lake, wandering majestic forests, taking in the scenic views, or simply slowing down to reconnect with nature, there’s truly no better place to stay. Eastwind feels like a home away from home — only more beautiful. If we could give 10 stars, we absolutely
We were invited to Eastwind Hotel yesterday by the owner, Bjorn Boyer. From the moment you enter the property, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. The atmosphere is magical and perfectly combined with high-quality service. You can make your stay even more special with their delicious and exotic cocktails and food. The saunas were very clean and well maintained. Finding a hot pool in the Catskill Mountains of New York is truly a luxury. I would like to congratulate Bjorn and his team for their vision and hospitality. ✨
