We stayed at DuPont Place for 2 nights while we moved our son into college.. I have mixed feelings about this place.. |We stayed in #8.. Although it has a loft where the bed is I still think it's too small for 3 people. The bed & pillows were very uncomfortable . There was no room to put our clothes, no dressers or closet, so we had to live out of a suitcase.. My son slept on the futon the first night & although I did state that he would be with us they still didn't leave pillows for him. There were sheets & a blanket in the footstool but the blanket smelled used. I did contact Charlotte about this & she replied immediately that housekeeping would bring a blanket but no one ever did.|The pros of DuPont Place is location. Walking distance to stores & restaurants. The parking spot was a huge
I was at a conference down the street at the Hilton Washington paying several hundred dollars a night, and having to pay for extras like Internet. I went out for lunch one day, and came across the Gallery Inn while walking down the street about two blocks away. Out of curiosity, I stopped in, they said they had a room for $99 with free internet, and I took it. Location was great, seemed a good deal. They were full in the main in, so they offered me a room about a block down. It was fantastic! For that $99, I had clean, comfortable studio apartment, likely 700 square feet, with kitchen attached. The building was older and had the feel of a hostel, a bit, but it was a private entrance, bath, etc. The building had a lot of character, including a raised 13 or 16 foot ceiling, large bay
I was in DC for business and the location is great; walkable to everywhere I wanted to see. Starbucks across the street, lots of shopping and restaurants. The room was adequate but not what the pictures show. Very plain and IKEA, but fine and clean. My only complaint is that the room was literally on the street and the garbage trucks back up in front of it every single blasted morning at 0430 with a "bwoop bwoop bwoop". The room was also just off the main foyer so could hear all the conversations of people coming and going, also it was located right under the common kitchen so the stomping of people getting coffee every morning was also loud. I didnt sleep well here. I suggest putting in some bedside lights as well, that was kinda annoying not having lights next to the bed. But if
I saw good photos and reviews about this hotel.||Therefore, I ordered a apartment for my family - 2 adults and 2 children, 17 and 8 years old.||The photos do not correspond to reality. They depict a spacious room with a luxurious bed. In fact, this is a tiny two-story room (loft), where, in addition to a bed, suitcases hardly fit. The apartment looks like a large closet with stairs.||I believe that the apartment is not like for 4 people||There is a large double bed on the 2nd floor and a small sofa bed.||In the kitchenette there are dishes and a microwave, but for some reason there is no kettle. No reception desk. For any problem you need to call the remote administrator.||Advantages:||Location - 30 minutes walk from the center. ||There is free WI-FI. ||There is a paid parking from the hot
We drove to DC and paid for a parking spot during our 8-day stay. A full-sized SUV would likely not be able to navigate the alley or park in the right spaces. The Metro is only a few blocks away, the neighborhood feels safe even at night, quaint restaurants abound, and people are friendly. Prior to our arrival, we received a very informative email travel guide. The directions were excellent. The room had a basket of brochures for the area. The kitchenette even included a vase for flowers, a reusable grocery bag, and coffee/tea. |A few hours prior to our arrival, we received a call from Kevin, telling us that the keypad entry system to our room (#8) was not working and there'd be keys on the table. He encouraged us to let him know if we had questions or needed anything. Upon entering the r
