Drums & Dances of Polynesia Luau

We had the best experience at this Luau! We were welcomed with fresh Leis, and escorted to a beautiful location right on the beach. We appreciated the complimentary photography! The Mai Tai’s and were excellent and the servers were prompt to refill any drink upon seeing they were empty. The Buffet had an excellent selection of foods, we particularly enjoyed the sweet potato’s, the Pipikula and the Huli Huli Chicken! Us and our kids 3 & 6 were mesmerized by the show! The performers were incredibly talented and the use of fire was abundant through the entirety of the show. This Luau on the beach will be sure to make a family’s evening a special night to remember.

NOT WORTH IT. This is more a buffet and show versus a luau. They build a stage along the beach at the resort which has adjacent folding tables and a buffet line. It is on a beach but feels very crowded. The food wasn't bad. Unlike most luaus where you see the tradition of the cooking of the pig this is just a buffet line. The show is OK and highlights different styles of Polynesian dances not just Hawaiian. The performers are ok. But it's presented as more as a "show" versus a cultural experience. In addition the location is on a public beach where the public can enjoy the show as much as you can. That said it's super convenient if you're staying at the Royal Sonesta or Marriott beach resort. Recommendation: skip paying for this as it's overpriced. Come out Thursday evening on the public

Great food, amazing show and they even had a professional photographer take our photos that was included. This is right next to the ocean, tables outside with hanging lights, coconut cups, beautiful leis and wonderful staff. Such a vibe!! Come hungry!!

Such a wonderful experience at the Drums and Dances of Polynesia Luau! 🔥🌴🌺 All of the dancers were so amazing and the story telling with the show was great! Definitely come to this show if you are staying in Lihue!

I was an onlooker simply checking it out and recorded a small section to show my wife. A worker rudely told me to stop. When I told him it seems appropriate to be a little kinder, he only became more rude.
