I loved staying here as part of my Nashville tourist experience! The hotel is so iconic and cute, I love the exterior! As far as the rooms go, it is a pretty typical motel experience. You won't get anything super fancy but it will be clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice, and I felt safe knowing that there was someone at sitting up at the front desk 24 hours. There is a laundromat too. While I was staying there, I walked across the street and got some soul food at Carol Anne's (another spot which has a special Nashville cultural flavor).
I really wanted to like this place. It is a step back in time. But, the owner and the staff have become complacent and lazy. They didn't even check our room before check in. We knew that because we found three large - dead - cockroaches on the floor when we stepped in.||The table lamp was missing its shade and was always on. The switch didn't work and the plugs in the base did not work either. We had to charge off the lone available outlet by the desk. To get light - you had to screw the lone light bulb in. To turn it off? Unscrew the very hot to the touch bulb.||Floors were do dirty, my feet got grayish-black walking from the bathroom to the bed after my shower. I went and got new towels after doing some cleaning and our arrival showers. The next morning, I used a towel to stan
It is a quiet, nice spot if you just need a room and aren't looking for all the bells and whistles. Id recommend it to any adults. There's no reason NOT to bring the kids, but it's not geared for them either, so other than sonic and burger king, they're gonna get bored! Lol. Still a nice place tho.
It's affordable if you just need a roof over your head, a toilet, bed and shower. They do have a mini fridge and microwave. It's not a fancy place at all, and it's not extremely clean, but it can work if you need affordability. It's on good bus routes if you need to get around and there are some stores and restaurants in walking distance.
Payed $35 extra to stay in the rooms by pool side, because the ones in the back are very nasty. Wasn't kept up with. The only star that supposedly stayed here was dolly Parton. I wouldnt waste my money on this place.
