DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco South Airport Blvd

We stayed at this hotel for several days while traveling for business. Overall, I wouldn’t say the hotel is bad. The facilities are pretty much what you would expect from a regular Hilton property, not super luxurious, but definitely not bad either. It has a restaurant, conference rooms, and the usual amenities. Our room was small, but cozy. In fact, it was one of the quietest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. I usually have trouble sleeping because many hotel rooms are very noisy due to the air conditioning or ventilation systems. This one was actually very quiet, which I appreciated. The bathroom was good, with a nice hot shower, and everything worked properly. Again, the room was simply small, but comfortable. We had a great experience at this hotel. We stayed there one night after a cross country flight that arrived late in the evening. The check in process was seamless, the room clean and comfortable and the breakfast and check out fine. The hotel is well decorated. We chose the booking option that includes a breakfast credit which made the whole thing an excellent value. Many hotel chains don't put much effort into making their airport hotels stand out but Doubletree has done a really good job here. Will definitely stay again if I have the chance.

DoubleTree has been consistently good during my experience over the past 30 years. Being a Hilton Honors member! I was a bit disappointed with the Hilton at South Airport. First of all, the shuttle was super packed with customers which is good for the hotel! Just ran out of luggage space! Secondly, the agent wasn't friendly may be too busy! Even though I checked in with my apps but the key wasn't ready and I had to check in again at the front desk! Thirdly, they didn't offer me a cookie where all other guests got one;(fourthly, there was no hot water and I had to call the front desk and it took more than 20 minutes to get it fixed! But I was standing in the shower for 20 m in minutes already! Anyway, it wasn't the best experience at this location!

I would never stay here again. The rooms NEVER cool down. My family checked in for 2 nights at 7pm on a Friday & the room was at 81 degrees. It was so hot that my kid had to sleep in his underwear! At 1am the room was still 78 degrees and I had to go downstairs and ask for a fan. This is obviously a known and consistent issue here because the front desk went into a storage closet full of box fans labeled "double tree" and grabbed me one. Although the fan helped when pointed right at the bed, the room still never dropped below 77 degrees. I had to rescind my second night and find another accommodation due to this. This hotel is very close to the airport, making it a convenient choice after my flight was canceled. The public areas are excellent—the restaurant, bar, and spacious lobby are great, and the airport shuttle is a big plus. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness. We found a used dental floss pick and a necklace inside the sofa bed; the dental floss, in particular, was quite unhygienic. While the room is comfortable, housekeeping needs to be much more thorough. For me, cleanliness is the top priority. Also, I highly recommend checking the hair dryers. The one in our room fluctuated in power and even started smoking on two occasions. It felt like it was about to break or catch fire, which was quite scary.
