DoubleTree by Hilton Racine Harbourwalk

This is a good DoubleTree location. I ended up getting a suite since I was here three weeks for work and wanted a little bit more space to spread out. The room was nice, plenty of space, the bed was comfortable, nice amount of outlets and two big TVs. The pool and hot tub were fantastic as well. The staff, especially Gianni (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) were very friendly and helpful. Didn't partake in breakfast but it's not free unless you have gold Hilton Honors status. Parking also isn't free. Few cons - easy to hear others in my room, and with the renovations some things were out of order. Also noticed 💨 smell multiple times including the non legal kind (don't have a problem with it but don't want to smell it first thing in the morning). The dryer also was kaput. Staff knew bu

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The management was extremely arrogant and unprofessional. My family stayed here with our service dog. After one night, the hotel told us our dog could no longer stay, claiming we left the dog unattended and that it misbehaved in public areas. Both accusations are completely false. Our dog was never left alone, and it behaved appropriately at all times. When I asked the manager to provide evidence (the hotel has cameras), she refused and declined further communication, telling us to contact Hilton corporate instead. To be transparent, our service dog did vomit once in the room due to motion sickness, which left a mark on the carpet. However, this should not be grounds to deny accommodation. We had the best time! The hotel was very clean. Gianni at the front desk answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions for a nice walk or a cute coffee shop nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel! We had a fun girls trip celebrating my mom turning 75! She grew up in Racine and wanted to look around.

I'm not sure I'll ever come back here. It has a nice view of the lake, and it's convenient to downtown Racine, but it's really expensive. Also worth knowing they do have a hot tub in the pool area, it's just not listed anywhere among the amenities. It's difficult for me to give them a fully fair assessment, because when we were checking out there was a flood in the lobby so we kind of had to exit through the gift shop as it were. The folks who work there are pretty nice. The breakfast is average/comparable to any place else you would go... I don't think that it's worth paying extra for to be honest. But the room was nice and the linens were clean.
