Comfort Inn Mount Pleasant - Racine

The bed had black hairs in it, the room was small, the cleanliness could be significantly improved. There was a dirty, used wash rag under the bathroom sink. The carpets were dirty. The walls were paper thin. At breakfast the manager, sitting by himself, took up a 4-seat table when there were only 3 or 4 tables with 4 seats. The location was good for what we were doing, and having waters at check in was nice. I wouldn’t stay here again, though.

Overall stay is great! Front desk staff is friendly, our room was clean, lots of shopping, restaurants, a great coffee shop is within walking distance and freeway is close by. Only recommendation I have is for the cleaning staff to keep the voice levels down in the morning. Woken up at 7am to loud conversation, tapping on doors, keys and cleaning carts was annoying. We were bothered 3 times in one morning, still sleeping, for room service, even when we told them we were fine. They need a better system of knowing who is checked out of rooms and if guests do need their room cleaned, we just schedule a cleaning. Rooms also need Do Not Disturb signs for the doors. This would be an easy system for the cleaning crew.

We’re from out-of-town and in Racine for a family emergency. The Comfort Inn was perfect … clean rooms, comfortable beds and a really good hot breakfast and coffee every morning. I think it may have been recently remodeled … no grungy carpet floors, but nice faux-wood tile floors. We were day-to-day on how long our stay would be, but the staff would hold our room for us each day until we decided if it was needed. Really appreciated the service there! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this for solo or pairs of travelers for shorter visits. The rooms are comfortable, clean and recently updated. The hotel also has a small workout facility and coin operated laundry machines for guests to use. The free breakfast was decent, but there was not much seating. Would be difficult for a small weekend. The bathroom/sink area felt small. Not ideal for multiple people or if you like to spread out. My shower head was also very high up. I am 5'-10" and had to really stretch to adjust the angle and couldn't adjust the settings. Overall, not a bad hotel for a short visit and would definitely return.

Remarkable staff. Very friendly and accommodating. The property and rooms were clean and the breakfast was above par compared to other hotels I've stayed at. Lots of dining and shopping in the vicinity.
