DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark - Fremont

We love this hotel. Great location with quick access to freeway, lovely pool area, and friendly competent staff. I just rebooked us for another stay, and the staff member (Ray at the front desk) was extremely accommodating and competent. Really friendly and welcoming. |The landscaping at the hotel is lovely, by the way. It’s our favorite hotel in the Silicon Valley area.

For anyone traveling from San Jose Airport to this hotel, be warned: the shuttle service they advertise does not operate. Guests are explicitly told a shuttle is available, only to discover upon arrival that this is not true. This is a blatant misrepresentation of services. As a result, I was forced to use Uber at my own expense, which significantly increased my travel costs. This is unacceptable—especially from a Hilton-branded property, where a basic level of honesty and reliability should be expected. What makes this situation worse is that we were part of a large wedding party, and multiple guests experienced the same issue. Several people who stayed here are equally frustrated and upset about being misled regarding the shuttle. This was not an isolated misunderstanding—it was a patt

This particular employee refused to let me in today, despite my Silver status and my Hilton Honors card. The card is registered in my wife's name, and she was running late; however, he still denied me entry and proceeded to cancel the reservation. He treated me with great disrespect—I do not recommend dealing with him at all. I certainly will never stay at this hotel again. His name is Ray Esagunde. I presented him with my ID, my wife's ID, and a credit card, yet he cancelled the reservation regardless. Employees like this should not be permitted to work in customer-facing roles. Ray Esagunde.

Horrible customer service. Promised room credit, refused to credit account even after speaking with manager Chris. Rey and Evelyn were not helpful either. I checked 3 times with 3 different employees that my account will be credited once I charge items to the room. I was misinformed by 3 different employees and the manager would not compensate the employees mistakes. I would not recommend staying here. They will take your money and tell you lies.

Great location off the main local freeway with ease of access. Parking is easy with plenty of places to park. The local area has plenty of places to shop for food and other amenities. Local malls close by have all the major names incae you forgot something. Service was excellent from checking in to other services needed. Therewas no complaint about anything. Will be back if in the area again.
