DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Asheville - Biltmore

We enjoy this hotel and stay here every year. The customer service is wonderful and the people are friendly. If you buy the food on site it is a little pricey. The rooms were cleaned every day we were there and we got fresh towels. It was nice to come back to a made up bed after a day in Ashville.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay, which was intended to be a special two-day celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator closet to our room servicing the 5th floor was out of order, requiring us to walk a significant distance across the building to access another elevator. Additionally, we learned that the hotel restaurant was closed—information that was not disclosed during the booking process.||Had these issues been communicated in advance, we would have chosen a different hotel. When we asked about nearby dining or nightlife options, we were informed there was only one local establishment within walking distance. These circumstances significantly detracted from what should have been a memorable experience.||My husband,

Positive: The location and staff were excellent! The beds were clean and comfortable. Negative: This is a beautiful hotel and the staff were extremely nice, but there was only one elevator working for the entire hotel. There were dirty dishes/towels outside our room, the bathroom vanity and curtains in the room were not as clean as I expected.

Customer service at this hotel—and Stephen in particular—is top notch. Made me feel welcome and efficiently attended with a smile to a few requests. Lobby area is nice. I think I am correct that the rooms are up for renovation, which would be nice, but was clean and comfortable. Great location!

We love this hotel. Unfortunately, the room amenities leave a bit to be desired. There is no microwave and rather than a small refrigerator, there is only a small, glass front cooler. The cooler is extremely noisy, which you only notice when trying to get to sleep. Other than that, the hotel is very good and the staff, front desk and housekeeping, are great!
