Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins

We stayed at Wrong Way for a team retreat and it was such a great experience! You can tell their team has put some much intention into the cabins and the guest experience. Everything was clean and laid out thoughtfully. They even laid out coloring pages and crayons for my son! Our group spent a good bit of time in the communal spaces (lodge and meadow) and enjoyed them. The location of the cabins make it a great base camp for exploring Asheville, which we did quite a bit of as well. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and my family and I will be back!

We stayed two nights in one of the deluxe cabins. Everything was clean and the space was inviting with the high ceilings of the A-Frame. The location is very convenient if you have a car to downtown Asheville and West Asheville. The cantina has hot drinks, pastries and other goodies as well as a stocked cooler of drinks. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator in the space so you can prep your own meals if you wish. The only minor complaint is that the bed was not the most comfortable, but that could just be our sleeping preference. We would recommend this as a great alternative to a typical hotel.

Great place for a team retreat. We had our work retreat at the Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins, and we all had our own individual A-Frame Cabins for lodging. The cabins are very cozy and loved that there was no TV for distractions. They did, however, had vinyl records and a record player which was nice and unique. The little store was great for coffee and miscellaneous items. The Conference room we used was cozy and, in the evenings, we were able to relax by the outdoor fire pit. The staff were incredibly gracious and hospitable. We had a fantastic time and were able to do some team building as well. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I were looking for an alternative to the standard hotel for a 2 night stay in Asheville and we found the perfect fit! Cabins are well appointed - we got a kick out of the record collection in our unit! We enjoyed having a separate seating area in our cabin to enjoy some local charcuterie goodies for dinner. ||I will admit to being a little concerned when I saw both a white noise machine AND complementary ear plugs. Happy to say that neither was needed and we slept very well!|Friendly staff, overall pleasant vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at Wrong Way River Lodge and Cabins! The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with the river right there and easy access to Asheville and the surrounding mountains. The cabins were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect place to relax and unplug. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Asheville area.
