Customer Reviews
We wanted budget hotel and this one is one. We really needed just clean and comfy bed and bathroom and space for our luggage/clothing. We booked it via Booking.com but for just a couple weeks before we started our longer trip to Canada/US I got a message from Booking.com that it was cancelled without any explanation. We quickly called the hotel and the lady at the phone told us Booking cancelled it in February! and I never got any message from them. She also said the reason apparently was that I paid for the room while it was booked on my husband's name. We managed to pay it directly with the hotel but can you imagine the stress we experienced. Well we got the room on the ground floor (L shaped) with window just above restaurant of the hotel next door on the left which was sometimes laud b

I am giving this a 5 star because for the price it range for sure deserves 5 stars! I really enjoyed our stay there. My friend and I stayed in the single and switched to the double after another friend joined us. The single room is quite small but still everything you need and the double was significantly more spacious and was very ideal for 3 college girls staying in DC for the weekend on a budget. It was in a great, lively, safe location and walking to and from the national mall (even late at night) was doable and were in busy well-lit areas. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good water pressure in the showers - really grateful for that.
This place is participating in a scam. I was set to go to DC Feb 11-14 2026. My disabled daughter became sick, horribly, a week before I had to leave. She doesn’t get sick often, but when she does, it’s usually bad. This time it was. I always book everything refundable, everything. That usually means I pay more up front but it gives me piece of mind. I had booked through booking.com. Right away when I knew my daughter was so sick. I tried to cancel, to move my dates anything and everything. Through booking.com and directly through the hotel. They refused. I can absolutely understand if it was last min, or I no showed. But I never once was made aware this was a non-refundable room. I’m absolutely disappointed in the management at this place and with booking.com. Don’t book with this establi
The hotel is nice; the rooms were clean. Very basic accommodation for tourists in a historic hotel. The internet was a pain to get logged onto-I ended up just using hotspot because I was tired but other than that-nice place to stay.
