Del Rio lodge motel

I like the place but the room I got last night had no door on the bathroom no shower curtain and used rubbers between the bed and table. Then to top it off the lady at the front desk didn't want to give me my deposit back said I had a dog in the room only because I had to wait a hour after checkout to get my deposit and when I went back I was walking my daughter's dog. Rude that's un professional.

You definitely get what you pay for. I was there last week room had bad odor even when cleaner lady had just came out of it. traffic coming in and out off room next to me selling something. My girlfriend didn’t feel safe at all and said she walked past a staffs room as she opened it and smoke poured out it and it wasn’t from cooking or cigarettes my guess meth because she felt sick by it later so we left in middle of night. Location is great and front desk was easy to work with but not a place i would stay with my family.

We checked in and left within one hour. She required a $20 CASH deposit. This is the first time I've ever had a lodging establishment require cash and will not take credit/debit/check or anything traceable. ||Objectively, this is what we found checking in:||Spoiled food left in microwave|Cat food left in cabinet|Counter top and table, sticky. Other surfaces not wiped down|Freezer was repaired with yellow tape|Shower still has hair in the tub. There are questionable stains in the tub. The shower handle I loose and is about to come off|Bed pillows are stained|Bed linens are stains|There is no cutlery, pots, pans, or plates to use for the kitchenette ||The property owner scolded us for keeping the air conditioning. Checked in on the evening of March 3rd. Received a very rude treatment. Had to pay the deposit in cash, the woman asked for my PIN code for my debit card, which I refused. She then got upset and after having to deal with two customers, I had to go into the office to key in my code into the card reader. Inside, the rudeness continued and she said “unbelievable” behind my back. When I got my room card I asked for wifi and she pushed a piece of paper up against the window. Did she assume I had paper and pen or a camera ready? Ugh! I'm on vacation here in the US and that was the first rude American I've ever met! The room was clean except for a dirty pillowcase. The bed was very hard and the wifi works if you stand outside.

My experience at Del Rio Lodge was unacceptable from start to finish. The room was advertised online as having a kitchenette. It did not. There was no kitchenette available at all, despite that being clearly specified when booking. The microwave in the room was unplugged, and while there was a fridge, there were no supplies or setup that would reasonably qualify as a kitchenette. Basic essentials were missing. There was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the bathroom. There wasn’t even a trash can anywhere in the room. Check-in was equally frustrating. It took an hour just to get a room key programmed. During that time, staff suggested I simply have the manager let me in and out of the room instead of providing a functioning key. That is not an acceptable solution for a paying guest.
