Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Terre Haute

Read the reviews here!!!! I made the mistake of not really believing the less than 2 stars reviews. Please read them before you stay!! We booked the Hawaiian room and it was so outdated and needed a lot of work. The lock mechanism on the door was so loose you could easily push it open, the fireplace didn’t work, no remote on one of the tvs, not enough hot water to even fill the hot tub. Blinds are missing several strips, most of the colored lights don’t work, waterfall doesn’t work. We arrived at 4:00pm tried the hot tub for 45min then decided to leave, went to the front desk and said “we decided not to stay because the room is not what we expected “. The person’s at the desk only said “here’s your receipt “. DIDNT EVEN ASK US ANYTHING!! No offering of another room or anything!!! Poor mana

Positive: The rooms looked like that guy on TV had come and remodeled them on the cheap. It really was quite quaint and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Negative: There was a red spot on the bed sheet (blood?), and the bathroom floor needed a deep scrubbing very badly. Just one time walking in and out barefooted and the bottom of my feet were black. They wiped off easily enough with a wet rag, but GROSS!

I wrote a review for this place last week and it’s not showing up. RUN!! DON’T STAY!! This place is the most disgusting hotel I have ever walked into. The smell and the bugs is overwhelming. Don’t bother going to the front desk to complain… the man will run and hide. The man at the front desk actually ran out a side door when I requested my money back after walking right back out of the room…. He stayed outside until I left the parking lot. The multiple people I contacted for a refund are still stonewalling me. I will continue doing my best to get this place condemned. The $104 they will not refund me will not bother me as much if I can keep as many people as possible from experiencing this same thing. My wife booked this for me. I almost left. I slept in my clothes on top of the bed. There were bugs in the food area. How can these owners not care. I just read a review that promised as of August of this year things would be different. We'll its late Oct and it's still nasty as he'll. Always read the reviews. Not even worth the 42 I paid. Eww Do better or shut down.

Checked into room 231 there was an electrical fire. We called maintenance they tried to blame us for their terrible wiring. We had to clean the bathroom.They gave us a new room it stunk like a dead dog and it was filthy with cockroaches. I complained they gave us a new room with cockroaches and it was filthy. I asked for my money back they refused laughed in my face and blamed me for all their problems in the room. When my husband left to take the kids to my mom's the manager shut the lights off and followed me in the hotel room while I was packing our stuff the only reason he left the room is because I called my husband and threatened to call the cops. I do not know why he followed me and shut off the lights but it was creepy.
