Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Monica

Recently renovated, my 4th floor room looked great. Bed was comfortable and all items worked well. A nice balcony with table and chairs is included with 4th floor rooms. Parking now is not free - $11 per night. But it is in an underground garage .

I really wanted to enjoy my stay since the location is quite good. My check in experience was good.Unfortunately the room was disgusting no, sheets on one bed, disgusting stains all over it. Open the door to go to the balcony.And there's dead cockroaches all over. Still i generally was trying to appreciate the place. What truly disappointed me the most was i've waited more than five days to receive my deposit back. When I called the motel directly I was treated very poorly and rudely spoken to after I was told, the manager comes in tomorrow. I was hung up on. It seems like anything Wyndham is involved in will turn out very poorly. For a hospitality company or whatever they want to call themselves, they have horrible customer service.

Positive: Fell in love with this hotel. Pay the extra money for the large balcony, you won't be dissapointed! We had a ball here and the staff was amazing! Total hidden gym, especially if you like cool, old hotels. Negative: The we couldn't stay longer.

WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE!!! This was an extremely disturbing and unacceptable experience. A private argument occurred between my wife and me in the hotel lobby. While this was a personal family matter and culturally not unusual for us, the hotel staff chose to escalate the situation by calling the police instead of attempting any form of de-escalation or mediation. As a direct result, I was arrested and detained. Because we are tourists, I was required to post bail in the amount of USD 250,000. The consequences of this decision have been devastating. My family has since been torn apart, my wife and I are now separated.ฤ I want the hotel management and staff to understand that their actions did not merely “follow procedure” — they permanently altered the course of my life and destroy

Rooms were decent and came with on suite bathrooms stocked with shampoos and gels, hotel itself has a decent lobby with parking directly outside the hotel, so bags are easily moved in and out of the hotel. Staff were extremely kind and helpful and offered an immediate room change on the first night as we weren’t satisfied with the room initially. Upon leaving the staff also waived the early departure fee which was also extremely helpful. Overall I would recommend to those looking to stay in the Santa Monica area.
